  A peace message

With the place Rangsdorf associates several peace messages – but in turn:

On the eve of the beginning of the Olympic Games in Berlin 1936, to the south of the place between the lake of Rangsdorf and the Dresdner railway, there were opened the Reich sporting airfield Rangsdorf with a land - and water airport. Here settled already 1935 also the Bücker aircraft construction GmbH, the production plant of the worldwide appreciated Bücker sporting planes.

The Bücker Company and its owner Carl Clemens Bücker shows, that it was also possible in National Socialist Germany, to keep the distance to the terror regime. So C.C. Bücker could keep himself out of the German armament production – without exception civil productions are connected with the name Bücker. Nevertheless the Bücker-factories were roped in Hitler’s war machine and supplied other producers with parts.

This happened, like almost all over National Socialist Germany, with the help of hard labourer. In front of the factory gate huts were erected and fenced in. However the firm kept distance also in this matter: so it is reported, that C.C. Bücker stands up successful for the abolition of executions in the hard labourer camp in Rangsdorf. This is certified by contemporary witnesses*, which were found at present after more than 60 years in the Ukraine.

A very special peace message is connected with the name Claus Schenk earl of Stauffenberg Claus Schenk earl of Stauffenberg. The colonel started and landed from Rangsdorf on the 20. July 1944 to his attempt on Hitler.
